THE MAGIC OF MOUNTAIN WITH THE SNOWSHOES ON

Walks, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. There are many different way to practise some sport and have fun on the mountain in winter if you don’t like the alpine skiing. Take the lifts to go higher and explore the white woods, breathe pristine and fresh air and let your body and mind spend some hours in a peaceful environment before having lunch in a ski chalet.

On the Bellamonte side, the beautiful Nature Trail that leads from La Morea to Malga Bocche hut (closed in the winter months) is definitely the most representative walk of the entire area: its 5 km long path beaten in the silent heart of the Paneveggio Natural Park offers spectacular views of the Pale di San Martino Dolomiti Unesco group. Easy to use even by families with children thanks to its characteristic flat morphology, it is certainly the most appreciated excursion by snowshoe lovers. The path is always open and is freely accessible.

If you practice cross-country skiing you can move along the Nature Trail provided by the skis, you just need to choose your favorite technique: the route is in fact beaten and traced to allow collaboration with both the classic technique and the skating technique. The route starts in La Morea, next to the new Chalet 44 Alpine Lounge and can be easily reached with the modern Bellamonte 3.0 cable cars.
